This week, we will invite the first clients through our doors in the past year and a half. We approach this milestone with care and consideration for both our clients and staff.
In March 2020, as the UK locked down in response to Covid-19, we reacted quickly to move our services online and over the phone. We knew that continuing our work during the pandemic was vital, and we have been so impressed with how our team responded to working in such a different way in order to ensure that we could. Now, with restrictions having eased, we are starting a phased return to seeing some existing clients in-person at our home on Frogmore Street.
Whilst the transition to online service-delivery certainly came with its challenges, what it did provide us with was the opportunity to make our sessions more accessible. For many years, we have been considering how to ensure that those who are unable to physically attend our premises can still receive counselling. Now, we are proud to offer a hybrid service that can accommodate our clients’ varied needs.
The decision to return has been a very carefully considered one. We are so aware of the different levels of comfort with the ease of restrictions and have chosen to reopen with the health and wellbeing of both our clients and staff at the forefront of our minds. It is extremely important to us that no one feels under pressure to return, and the staff who are doing so have opted to.
This is the first stage of our phased return. We look to a future where we can offer both in-person and online sessions for new and existing clients, but for the moment we are just excited to be able to begin the transition. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time.
