Your Harbour Journey
1
Complete the self referral form
Take the first step in your journey
You can complete a self referral by clicking on the button at the top of the page.

2
We will contact you
We’ll give you a call to arrange your Hear Me session.
We will book an appointment at one of our locations for you to meet with a member of the team.
3
Emotional health questionnaire
Take some time to fill out this questionnaire
This is an important part of your initial Hear Me session and is a chance for you to tell us how you are feeling.

4
Attend your Hear Me appointment
Meet with a member of the team
This is an appointment for you to tell us what brings you to The Harbour so we can think together about therapy and what that would mean for you.
5
Attend your counselling sessions
Meet with your therapist
You will see the same counsellor for all your sessions.
Each session lasts 50 minutes. It is important that you are able to make a commitment to weekly sessions, and this is something that you will be able to talk about in your Hear Me appointment.
Everyone is different and the sessions will develop according to your own need and your situation. The impact of death, dying and bereavement is far reaching and you may want to use your sessions to explore a variety of issues that are important to you.
Our therapists adhere to The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Ethics and Practice. Alongside our qualified therapists, a limited number of our therapists are in advanced stages of their training.

6
Mid-term review
It’s time for a check in
We will send you a form to complete, similar to the first questionnaire. This helps us know how you are finding the sessions.
7
Continue your counselling sessions

8
Your penultimate session
End of sessions Review
After this session, we will email you a link to our End-Term Review and Emotional Health questionnaire. These forms help us understand your experience, and ensure we’re offering the best possible support.
9
Your final session
You and your therapist will think about how you will support yourself once you’ve left The Harbour
